Clay Plaster Workshop

In this two day workshop you will learn how to mix and apply earth based plasters.

 

This hands on class is located at the Sage Oasis Garden Retreat Center in Hot Springs, Montana. Attendees will join Katherine and Daniel Ray of Spiritwood Natural Building to learn how to mix and apply earth based plasters onto cob and strawbale walls.

 

Earthen plasters can be used to protect wall systems against the elements while also being aesthetically pleasing. This class will give participants the opportunity to apply thick protective plasters and work with much finer finish plasters to make a beautiful finish!

 

Participants will also see examples of how cob is used to construct a indoor or outdoor walls as well as earthen floors.

Cabins are available to rent through Sage Oasis Garden Retreat Center.
